In August 2014 3 friends decided to make the ultimate journey across Borneo: Walking across the entire island. They walked 2250km in 137 days on foot with just a backpack, 2 feet, and a smile.

They came to highlight positive stories and projects taking place on Borneo today. Everywhere they walked they smiled, said hello and took time to talk to the people. Along the way they connected with thousands of people who all became a part of the journey.

They spent weeks walking through thick jungles, picturesque beaches and empty palm oil estates, climbed Mt. Kinabalu, ran out of food, came face-to-face with cobra's, wild boars and had the opportunity to stay with almost all of Borneo's indigenous tribes. They moved slowly through the island taking time to see, hear, smell, taste and touch all that Borneo has to offer.

They started their epic journey in Tawau, Sabah on 14th August 2014, from here they walked all the way around Sabah, through Brunei and all the way down through Sarawak, finishing in Kuching on 4th January 2015.

This is the story of their journey, a journey of discovery, learning, sharing, and connecting with the land and people of Borneo. This is the story of positive Borneo. For more information or to get in touch with Nomadic Lion please see their website:
