This Documentary features the first historic flight of the Space Shuttle Columbia. Highlights include the liftoff on April 12, 1981, the onboard activities of Young and Crippen, and the landing on Rogers Dry Lake bed in California. It's an interesting look at the shuttle program before anybody knew the imact it really would have in the future. This is from a collection of short films in animation, education, documentaries, the arts, and experimental films. Many of these films are classic or vintage and are rare and difficult to find. They give an interesting look back at the days of the Cold War and earlier and how entertainment and education were different from today.
